Our Story
James Frank / CEO
Cushionflute
The Cushionflute (CF) Carton is our exciting new innovation. It is 100% water & leak proof and is also Flat Packed. The CF carton is a two piece (base and lid) product offering both convenience and excellent protection, whilst also offering many more benefits.
Our CF carton is designed to reduce manual handling and the spoilage of goods whilst providing long term cost savings
Our unique tubular profile, internal structure enables high compression strength with minimal impact on overall weights. This patented structure provides high levels of impact resistance and provides a “cushion” of enveloping protection for any goods being transported by the CF carton.
Notable Benefits
- Flat – Packed
- Waterproof / Leak Proof
- Liner Less
- High Impact Resistant and Impact Absorption
- Easy Assembly (NO adhesive tape or hot melt glues)
Accredited
Our CF carton is approved by AQIS and is covered by Australian and multiple international patents.
High Impact Resistance
Arrangement of multiple thin-walled tubes results in a very strong structure
Flat Packed
Readily stacked on pallets to minimise storage space
Waterproof
Will not deteriorate on contact with moisture or submersion in liquids

From experience at least 2-3 times. Please keep in mind that this will vary depending on how the carton is handled, used and its’ contents. The Cushionflute carton is designed to absorb impacts but instruments such as blades and knives will cause damage that will limit the number of re-uses.
Definitely, we are very conscious of how our products effect our future generations. Our carton is deliberately constructed using non-permanent bonding so at the end of its’ service life, it can be de- constructed and the various individual polymers separated and recycled. Looking into the future we hope to implement a circular supply chain and also introduce a compostable carton.
Yes, our carton is engineered to be flexible and this flexibility provides a high resistance to impacts. In cold environments, the carton walls become more rigid and when properly erected, the carton can easily withstand the rigors of impact and pallet stacking. The small “bubbles” are normal, the non-permanent bonding will loosen as the polymers expand and shrink with the environment. The carton’s structural integrity is not affected.
Absolutely, our Cushionflute carton has been airline approved. SEAFOOD AIR TRANSPORT NO: 8987 – 20KG RATING.
Very good actually. On a day where the ambient temperature fluctuated between +15oC to +18oC, our carton was refrigerated to -8oC and then left under shade and un-refrigerated. After a 24hr period, the internal temperature rose to +10oC
Not at the moment. We’re just offering the 20KG airline approved carton at the moment. The tooling for other sizes are in progress.
